Top 5: Things To Do In London This Month

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

We are going to join with the unison of "Is it February already? Blimey!" But only because we know that all the good stuff happens in February! And trust us, there are some great ones to look out for. How about a group of magical misfits for a Valentine's date for example? Check out our top five picks for going out in London this month.

1. Elvis At The O2 has been opened since December 12th, but the real exciting artefact will be coming in the month of February! Yes, the black leather suit from Elvis’ 1968 comeback show will be making its way to London for the first time. Not only is the suit a symbol in Elvis’ career, but it commemorates an iconic moment in music history – paving the way for the “unplugged” type shows that channels like MTV do today. If you’re a fan of Elvis, or just want to see a bit of music history, go grab your ticket here

2. Liam Williams is becoming one of the most prominent comedians on the circuit. His show at Edinburgh was a smash hit, and now he is going on the road with it!  The London run will be at Soho Theatre from the 23rd to 28th, but if you’re not from around these ends – make sure to check him out around the country. For more information and tickets visit Soho Theatre's website

3. Struggling to find that perfect date for Valentine’s Day? How about an award winning team of tricksters, swindlers and cheats? The Champions of Magic are back on the road, and they will be heading into London on the 14th.  Champions of Magic are the UK’s largest touring magic show, made up of five illusionists (including legendary Fay Presto) all performing their own specialism. So why don’t you take your date to Hayes’ Beck Theatre? Just make sure that Young & Strange don’t make them disappear. For ticket information visit Beck Theatre's site

4. Theatre season is finally kicking off again! And while it is now 2015 and we still haven't had our Hedwig and The Angry Inch London announcement yet, there is still some great theatre starting their London runs this month. The biggest one to look out for is Gods And Monsters at Southwark Playhouse. The show sees Game Of Thrones' Ian Gelder star as James Whale, the director of the Frankenstein movies, in his last days. Do be warned, it is not for the prude! Tickets are available at Southwark Playhouse's website.

5. Last but no means least, is the legendary BRITs! Long gone are the days when it was just for the celebrity elite, now everybody can go join in the celebrations. This year confirmed acts include Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift...and only bloody Madonna! You really can't beat the line up this year, so check it out when it heads to the O2 Arena February 25th. Tickets are available at Ticket Master.
